Ruby had the same problem... sides grew a lot faster than the back. We had to trim Ruby's when she was a similar age, and we trimmed Tad's last night. She wouldn't sit still for a second, since it was bedtime, and she was hungry, and she wanted the scissors. But I did my best and she's all evened out now!
I think she looks a bit older.

She does look older. What are you doing making the baby look older??? JK, good job!
I know this is crazy, but after seeing the way my first daughter's hair grew, I have shaved all the rest of my kids at 3 or 4 months. And so far their hair has been amazing. Max's time is almost here. For Brinn I just put big headbands with flowers and bows on her and no one ever even noticed.
