39 weeks.

People can't stop staring at me. They tilt their head to the side slightly, do a double take, the corners of their mouth pursed in a "poor girl" kind of face. I don't blame them. I am walking ridiculousness. In public, with no shame.

Jake and I had a night away this weekend. We stayed downtown and ate skittles 'til midnight. I don't sleep well at night lately, but I took 1 hour naps all the way until 11 a.m. Not bad. It was nice to have some peace and quiet, have a nice dinner at Market Street Grill, my faaaaavorite place, and watch the rain fall on the big buildings of Salt Lake City. Beautiful.

I missed the girls. Turns out they had a great time with my brother and his wife!

I'm not sure what can possibly top this anxious waiting game. Baby coming! Don't know her! Can't wait to know her! What can possibly top this? Maybe when my babies have babies someday... I'll be just as excited.

I'm expelling a deep breath now... out of my swollen face, belly resting heavily on my lap, my mouth set in a weary curve. To most other people in the world, May is going to be just another spring month. For us and our loved ones, an explosion of happiness and surprise.

I love Market Street Grill too! We've gone down the last two years for my birthday dinner. That and Gourmandies. Yum.

I wish you well in your last week (hopefully) of expectation. Hang in there!

How exciting! And how perfect to have a night away right before you have her! That is really special and a great idea. I'll have to let my hubby know that one.....

Beautiful. You're beautiful. Brand New Baby Smylie will be so beautiful. I can't wait for her to show her face (so you can blog her face!). I'm so sorry I haven't commented throughout this latest journey (I suck as a [blog] friend). You're amazing.

Oh this photo. It reminds me of the one in "The Family Stone" that SJP framed for everyone. Gorgeous. You are the epitome of motherhood and love. You were born to have babies. How many more will you have? :)

I can't WAIT to meet her.
