Wedding #252

(Photography by my sister, Hannah)

Me and Lillie are leaving tomorrow for yet another one of my sibling's weddings (and surprisingly, not the last of the year. My sister's is in November). This time, it's Jared. There are three girls that start out our family. Rachel, me, Hannah, and then came Jared. The concepts that we treasure were forced upon him as a child. Things like, if we cry, just go with it. Don't ask questions. The small things can really set us off. If we hit you, do NOT hit back. You will pay emotionally. We always go first and get the most.

He may have seen these truths as a hindrance. But I bet money that now he is thankful with every bone in his body that we taught him well. Taught him how to manage women. 'Cause he's going to be the greatest husband.

And Lynn-- don't even get me started. When she told me that he taught Sunday School in their ward and sometimes got a little long-winded and she would give him hand signals from the back to shorten his lengthy sermon, I knew she was the one. She had to be the one.

They're getting married in the Sacramento Temple and I get to do the photography! So Lillie and I leave from our house at 3 a.m. and will enjoy a nice leisurely 7.5-hour plane ride to the other coast. Let me just say, she does not like to sit on my lap. For any amount of time. Unless in a dead sleep (but I don't have the heart to drug her with dimetapp).

Like the three other cross country plane rides taken this year, it'll be a marathon.

Then use dramamine, they totally make it chewable for kids. Trust me, she's be happier for it and so will you! How exciting for Jared! Have fun!

I can't WAIT to see the photos you take. It's all going to be amazing. Good luck on the plane ride. There are few things in life that bring me more anxiety... but at least 7.5 hours later, you know you'll be done, whatever your state--- at least you'll be done. Well until the return flight... that part always kills me.

Congrats Jared! You are a brave momma. I'd be drugging her! My kids were all the same way at her age. Heck, Rylee is still that way. Have so much fun!
