Kristy Palizzi Ragsdale.

Today is the 1st anniversary of my friend's death. She was shot and killed last year on her 30th birthday by her estranged husband. Her mother was a few feet away from her at the time. She left two little boys behind which her mother now has guardianship over. The trial is not even close to over, but he is pleading guilty finally, which is something everyone is grateful for. Her mother wrote a very touching blog entry on her memory blog this morning as a tribute to her.

Sarah, I can not believe it's already been a year!
I think what you did (setting up a blog in her memory) was absolutely awesome! You really are a great friend.

Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I have a neighbor down the street who is now caring for her 2 granddaughters because her own daughter was shot and killed by her husband a few months ago. This is a perfect thing to share with her.

Living in UT, I've followed this story. Her mother's post was powerful. What a blessing you had to know Kristy.

Thanks for sharing.

I saw this on Christia's blog (her sis in law) last night. I've been having their family in our thoughts and prayers all day. I'm glad her mother finally got guardianship. hopefully they can all find peace someday. I still remember your post a year ago. You are am amazing friend.

I remember this on your blog last year Sarah. I'm still so so sorry (to her family AND you...it's hard to lose a friend and I can't imagine those circumstances).

Love that we're commenting together;)
