Kayla is fabulous.

This is my gorgeous neice, Kayla. Now a neice that is birthed by your own sister is something quite extraordinary. It gives us as aunts special rights and privileges otherwise not given. For instance: I devote a lot of my time to sniffing, cuddling, chewing and kissing the baby. And my sister's usual reaction is approval. If there is an instance in which my sister gets irritated (which there hasn't been yet), I could just shrug it off in circumspect because I can remember the moment just yesterday when we were in junior high and she said I couldn't borrow her shirt, and I just borrowed it anyway. See what I mean? It's the best. I can imagine it will be the same when my daughters have babies. I can have a hayday with their babies because, well, I'm their mom. YES!!
I took these photos of Kayla just last week. She can't get any prettier.

Wow Sarah, you are an awesome photographer. You have picked up some great techniques (I'm guessing from Jake's Mom). You'll have to share some secrets with me one of these days!

Holy blooming onion those are some great pics if I might say so myself...and I'm saying so myself :)! I'm picky about the people who take our family pics, however, I might just have to beg you to take mine when we're out in utah this summer (weird? since we haven't really met?...you tell me..I'm down with it). Anyway, not on is little Kayla fabulous, the photog who took this is as well!

Yeah, I know all too well about the cost of camera's.....my camera when purchased 4 years ago was 1500 and then the lens I got was 500 and another one a few years back that was 1200...I'm a Canon girl myself...EOS 10D. Can't wait to get a new one...sigh...perhaps after vet school! so for now you'll have to just use mine when I come :)....is that blasphemy to use a Canon when you're a Nikon girl??!

Hi Sarah! You don't know me, but I found your blog through Kelly's (who is a cousin to my good friend) Anywho, I have been reading your blog on and off and wanted to say; you're great. I love reading it. Now you've added photos to that "greatness" of yours! If you don't mind, I would love to add you to my links.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog.

Oh and I love your MIL. Have her book. Lucky you!

Hi Sarah,

My blog is not very entertaining. It's my perfect reflection, old and crochity. But you are welcome to come visit anytime. Just make sure it's right before you need to lie down... yep, it's that good.

Well looky there! Now you'll need to delete one of my double posts. I love my connection and blogger. Didn't mean to post twice. And when you are done, delete this nonsense too!

you are a great photographer. Those are really beautiful pictures. Yes, i'm sure it helps that you had a beautiful subject to photograph, but still. Maybe i'll hire you to take pictures of our baby boy and make him look good no matter what he ends up looking like.
